How to Make French Press Cold Brew

Cold brew is one of easiest ways to enjoy cold coffee at home — and the French press method is straightforward and beginner-friendly. Here's how to make a perfect glass!

Ingredients: — Coffee beans — Filtered water

Equipment: — Burr grinder — Scale — French press — Cheesecloth

Instructions:

1. Using a 1:3 coffee-to-water ratio, grind your coffee on a coarse grind setting.

2. Add your coffee grounds to the French press.

3. Add the filtered water to the grounds and stir. 4. Cover the French press but don't plunge yet!

5. Let the French press sit in the fridge and soak the grounds for 14-16 hours.   6. When the time is up, plunge the grounds!

7. Place cheesecloth over a jar or glass, and pour the cold brew through.

8. Fill a glass with ice and fill it halfway with the cold brew concentrate. Add water (or a combination of water and cream) to top off the glass.

9. Store the remaining concentrate in the fridge for up to one week.
