Arrow

What is instant coffee?

instant coffee is made from dried coffee extract. This manufacturing process is when someone took brewed coffee and then transferred it into coffee power or even coffee crystals.

What is ground coffee?

Ground coffee comes right from the whole coffee beans. The only difference between the ground coffee and the coffee beans is the grinding process. This allows for people to create medium to very fine coffee grinds depending on their preference!

SIMILARITIES

Instant coffee is literally just 100 percent coffee beans that have been roasted, ground and brewed with water into a liquid, then dehydrated, so it has the same health benefits as ground coffee beans.

DIFFERENCES

Instant coffee is a cup of coffee that's already been brewed, processed and preserved in packaging. Ground coffee is not processed beyond the beans being washed and roasted before it's packaged and shipped to coffee shops and retail stores!

CAFFEINE

Surprisingly, there is different caffeine levels for both instant coffee and regular coffee!  In a cup of instant coffee, you will end up with less caffeine. In an eight-ounce cup of coffee, you will end up with 62 milligrams of caffeine per cup. This is much less than the brewed cup of coffee.
