What It Is & Why You'll Love It

French Press Cold Brew

Cold brew is one of the easiest ways to enjoy an iced coffee drink at home — and the French press method is a simple, beginner-friendly way to make your own.

What exactly is  French press cold brew?

It's coffee that is brewed using a cold immersion method in a French press.

Back up, please: What is cold immersion?

That means hot water never touches the coffee grounds during the extraction process. Instead, the grounds steep in cold water and release flavor slowly over an extended period.

What does cold brew taste like?

That partly depends on the beans. But this method results in low-acidity coffee with super-smooth and rich flavor. Note that cold brew is prepared as a concentrate — so you'll need to "cut" it with water or cream.

How long can I keep the concentrate?

You can keep it for one week in the fridge.
